Life in District 12 isn’t really so different from life in the arena. At some point, you have to stop running and turn around and face whoever wants you dead.

Party at the Capitol
The most extravagant place Katniss and Peeta visited on the tour to each district was the Capitol. There were foods and drinks of all sorts and wonders. Katniss was so overwhelmed that she stuffed her self full. As for the other people from the capitol attending the party, they wore flamboyant gowns and outfits. But of course this is expected of the Capitol members.
Although it seems as though it would be a wonderful treat to attend one of these parties, Katniss is longing to leave. Since her talk with President Snow, Katniss feels quite uncomfortable being in the house of the man who threatened to kill everyone she loved and cared about.
